The first visit includes a discussion about the problem and examination of that area, followed by treatment, home instructions and, if necessary, recommendations for further examinations.
The most common treatment for chiropractic is to release the fascial restriction and the joint 'locks' by giving a small impulse to the joint by hand, which separates the surfaces of the joint for a moment, releasing the tension. The goal of chiropractic is always to primarily identify the causes of pain as well as to prevent symptoms.
The key is to start treatment on time. In this way, the pain or other problem situation does not paralyze the functioning of the whole body, and the disorder cannot cause further damage to the rest of the body (Finnish Chiropractic Association).
